Is this lamp okay for their lighting? It's an old lamp of mine that I don't use anymore and when I read they needed 14 hours of light a day even if the hutch is near a window since for now they are small and with the fourth of July tomorrow I have them inside for the time being to keep them calm when the fireworks go off. Anyway I always turn it on at 6am on the dot and change their water and give them half a mashed boiled egg and I'll leave the light on all the till 10pm which is around 15 hours of light and I put a towel as you can see in the first picture over their screen of the hutch so none of my nosey cats try and wake them up. Once they are a bit more bigger we are going to move them outside on the balcony but it's half shaded/sun, I also plan on hooking up the other cage so they have more room and more sunlight but I don't plan on having this lamp outside with them since it's made for indoors my dad has a sitting lamp I can use to shine on them if it's needed but is this good for now? Also I put their dust bathe box in at 12pm noon and leave it in till 10pm so they all have a turn in it. My dad was mad because he thought they would make a mess but the walls are high enough to keep it inside and if it does spread it goes into the nesting box.
