My silkie is raising 3 white crested black polish chicks, 2 weeks old. They are from Ideal, straight run.

Today I noticed that one of the chicks has a black band on it's beak, the other two have solid white beaks. Does this say anything about their gender?

I only know brahmas. Alot of times you can make a reasonable guess about a LF brahma chicks gender by the amount of black on it's beak as a chick. Was just wondering if the same could be said for polish.

NO hatchery haters please! TIA

Haven't a clue about the Beatles, but you'll be happy to know that at least 2, more likely 3, of my 5 newly hatched Marans are roosters.

Hmmm... where's Sourland?

Sure would like to know about these three. Something else, I'm not sure they are white crested black either. Will have to do some picture surfing today.
