Seems like locally TSC hatchlings of asst standard cochin, americana,? orpington, broiler, rhode island and lace rock, misc silkie are pretty available and "asst Misc bantam" <_<. I could probably get more selection with eggs but that is a complicated line of steps and equipment for a handful of pet with a plus. Hmm

Rhode Island Red are great egg layers, fairly independent though. A lot of people say the Orpingtons are like feathered puppies!
