When zipping does the whole chick rotate in shell or do they just turn their heads?

The whole chick rotates. If you watch closely you will see it pip a part of the shell & then rotate & pip again. It gets more noticeable toward the end & you will see the top part of the shell push off when the chick turns.

Thats what I thought. I have the bloody chick hatching and the way it has busted out one spot I wonder if its unable to turn or something. I am just watching it.
