Above ground coop, locked door... can they still get in?

Pics would be great. I would be worried about only using chicken wire as predators can rip through that. Hard to know how hard it would be for them to access your coop without seeing it.

I doubt they have the intelligence, but they might get lucky. I'd go for a padlock with a KEY...and keep the key in the people house. They make weather proof locks that seem to really *be* weather proof. Oil the key once in a while to keep the tumblers working well.
