Hmmm from the sound of it if the turner motor was very hot when you took it out that is probably the issue.
I haven't tried my auto turner in the secondhand Hover-Bator I bought but it's previous owner told me it is also cranky with the turner in and fine without.

I'm using it as my hatcher so I'm not worried.

I just don't know if I will ever trust this LG. When I went to bed last night, it was steady at 100F. Woke up and it was at 96F. Made a minor adjustment and since I've been home it is steady at 99F. This is getting old...my other LG pretty much maintains on its own...
