I have been raising 5 chicks with my 7 and 5 year old daughters for close to 3 months now and prior to that built a very fun chicken coop, but now that my chickens are older I am concerned that two of the 5 might be roosters. They are both bigger and look different then their sisters. All are very friendly, but I don't think my neighborhood will allow roosters.

Can anyone please take a look at the photo's below and tell me whether or not these two are males?

from California, they both look like cockerels to me. Try posting here for more opinions: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this

I agree with the above, sorry!

Wow, thanks for all the feedback. At least now I know. I will find them a good home. The question is where can I get 3 month old female replacements? My "flock" will be cut in half. Btw - love the sight. I am raising chickens in San Diego and I am loving it outside of this issue.
