Abused hen

I have a few hens that have been picked as the roosters favorites and are getting beat up by them. It just so happens that they are my two favorite and sweetest hens I have. I Did some searching and found a product called a chicken saddle. Do these work? Any recommendations on what to do to stop their backs from getting so torn up and naked from the over breeding? Anything helps! Thanks!

Yep. They work perfect. All they do is cover the hens back so when the rooster mates and climbs on the hens back the roosters claws dont dig into the hens back. I have a set on hand because I thought they were cute and somebody was selling them on Facebook near me for $10.

If they're made yo the right size and stay put without choking the bird, they're amazing. I'd get some except that I don't keep males around hens they do that to (either by removing the males or the specific hens depending on who it is and which of the two I care for personally more staying)
