Accepting names!

I got a new Beta fish and I am not sure what to name him. He is a TwinTail HalfMoon Male Beta. I was thinking Shimmer or Ghost. Leaning toward Ghost. Does anyone have any other name ideas? Which one do you like better?

He's beautiful - I used to keep bettas and they are such great fish. I like the name Ghost - I think it suits him nicely.

Ghost is a nice name. May I ask how big your tank is? I currently have a betta in a 10gal, which seems to fit his space needs perfectly. Also, are considering adding some live plants into the tank? I know they’re not fer everyone, but my fish seems to like them and they keep the water content safe longer.

Ghost, phantom... Don't their colors change a little though? As they grow? Maybe he'll get more color I'm not sure. I haven't had Beta's for a while.

I like ghost better. I also like Frosty. Not very tropical though.

His tank is not huge, but we have had a beta, a few tetras, and some mosquito fish in it before. Not all at the same time.

Cool! Everyone’s settup is different. But since you have a smaller tank, I recommend monitoring water toxicity levels and making sure to clean/ water change at least somewhat often. Also, if you do end up wanting to, replacing plastic plants with live ones can really help lower nitrate and ammonia levels, especially in smaller tanks! They also add entertainment and enrichment fir your fish.
