That has to be the saddest thing ever. I'm so sorry and can't imagine what you are feeling. You did your best and we all learn from things that go wrong no matter who's fault it was. I know I sure have.

Terrible situation...I pretty much know what happened. The older ones drowned the Ducklings and also killed Mommas babies too..

Some are very territorial, i wouldnt beleive it except i seen a mother duck kill another mothers ducklings. she knew it didnt belong

Just to say: the older ducklings could not have killed the momma's duckling - different pen in a separate part of the yard.

Ouch!
Poor ducks... but that's life (and death).
I'm just pointing out, they are animals, and while cute, the loss thereof is not something to be mourned too greatly.
