Accepting what might be and pushing forward.....need advice on multiple concerns.

Great info, but just to clarify as @Eggcessive mentioned in post #12 of this thread, obviously sick birds should not be bathed, as doing so can stress them further, even to the point of death.

@Chopper923 , I'm sorry that the reason you are needing to learn so much so fast is because you are dealing with various illnesses and parasites within your flock, but hang in there; you are doing great.
Yes, but you can apply liquid permethrin without actually dipping or bathing the bird in it. I apply it with a small paintbrush, working it into the skin down at the feather bases, without saturating the entire bird.

Nova had another good night. ❤️ Not sure if i should start another thread due to this next issue being a different chicken. This is one of our 14-week-old lavenders. We got 8 of them and 2 unknown breeds when they were all 4 weeks old from the same olace. Four of them have passed. One died approx 1 week after getting them, which i had just cleaned their area, so i felt like maybe between the almost 2-hour move to a new home and my cleaning their area put too much stress on her. (These girls have been skittish from the get-go, and they are now finally coming to peck dandelion from our hands.) Then we had Gimpy, which is when i learned a lot about mareks...still so much to learn about that confusing disease. After she passed away (maybe a few days later?), i found another dead in the coop. She was fine, and then an hour or two later, dead. Three days ago, one was by herself in the coop. I picked her up (which is unheard of with this group), gave her some love, and set her back down. I shut the coop door, and then i heard a racket. My husband wouldn't let me open the door because he must have known she was dieing, and i was already having a hard time. He checked her shortly after, and she had passed. I am attaching a video of this little girl...She has an impacted crop from what we can tell. Checked it last night, and then i felt her this morning...definitely still full and somewhat hard. Not squishy, and no odors. She has been making a weird noise for some time...almost like a honk or a bark? She also stretches out her neck and opens her mouth constantly...i am assuming that is her trying to clear her crop? I am so thankful for the members (@Eggcessive , @TropicalChickies , @Allsfairinloveandbugs ) who have directed me to @azygous post on impacted crop...valuable info!! This morning i have given her some coconut oil, and i massaged her crop, 15 minutes 2 times so far. I also put some olive oil in her water, which she did drink some. I gave her a little bit of scrambled eggs. She showed some interest, but i think she only ate one small piece. I have her separated from the others so that she is kept quiet, and i can monitor her food and water intake, along with her poop. I will attach a video of her actions and a picture of her most recent poop.

The honking sound and stretching the neck can be indicators of impacted crop.

You are doing everything right, giving her oil and massaging the crop.

But I wouldn't give her any more food until the crop actually clears and at least most of the mass in there goes down. Anything she eats will just sit on top of the blockage.
