I was at the feed store getting layer pallets & noticed the sign said "Chicks 2/18" -

I have enough food for a couple of months so they should be gone by then. Talk about timing cause I so want another bantam cochin & I just can't!

Timing is everything!

Now I just have to

I broke down LOL I got 10

I figure this way I'm getting a good start and I might actually get some eggs from them THIS year

At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it

They even posted this on craigslist:

"Baby chickens will be arriving at Echo Valley Ranch on February 19th. Many different breeds available, special orders are welcome. Your chicken headquarters for 2009. Mention this ad and we will give you a 10% discount on your chicken feed. See you soon"
