I have a 5 week old Americana pullet who suddenly started having issues breathing, she's sneezing, won't eat or drink water and she also keeps drooling. I've opened her mouth and looked down her throat and it looked open with nothing stuck. The other chicks are doing fine and seem to have no problems.

There isn't a chicken vet around me so asking for any ideas on care other then heat lamp and keeping clean water and food available. I've moved her away from the healthier chicks.

I'd look inside the beak again for any signs of canker.

Sounds like she may have a respiratory infection, but hard to know. Is she from the same hatch/breeder/group as the other chicks?

Crop emptying?

I'd work on hydration and see if she will eat. If symptoms worsen you could try an antibiotic like Tylosin to see if that helps.

She made it through the night. She's drinking or trying to drink water. I couldn't see anything inside her throat even today.

Same hatchery, different breeds. They're still doing well with no signs of whatever is up with her.

Her crop didn't feel like it had anything at all in it but today feels like she ate a little bit.

I'll look into getting some Tylosin even if she improves more just in case. I have 3 flocks that were all bought from the same hatchery but different ages and I'm going to be watching them all closely.
