Joleen looked at her brother said, "Dramatic much! who would believe in an egg giving bunny? Really? Shattered your dreams, well least I know you never dream big."

"I'm only nine, what do you expect to have my college and my career planned?"

 

[Chook-Girl]

Jolee asked, ''Oh, I suspect the easter bunny will do that for you?''

''That's right,'' replied Ming.

 

[NickyKnack]

"Oh Good! Then the Tooth Fairy, can do your resume and father time, can keep your schedule. " Joleen said sarcastically.

Ming was on the verge of tears again.

 

[Chook-Girl]

"Ahem," Aria cleared her throat. "Like, can you two keep it down a little? We're in a public place and you two are carrying on like hens squabbling over the best dust bathing spot. There's a lot of dirt holes in the world that you can share!"

Ming and Joleen turned to look at her, their mouths hanging open.

Joleen hoped that fly magically flew up her nose. That would serve her right, for referring to her as a chicken.

Jolee suddenly wondered where they were going. She asked Ming but he just looked dubiously at Aria. Right then, the bus pulled into an alley and the driver growled "Get off.'' ''Um, about that,'' Aria intoned. Jolee walked off the stairs and it seemed Aria was scared. She should be! Comparing her to a chicken! But Aria wasn't looking at Jolee, she was looking behind her. Jolee turned around and saw...

Three figures who were wearing robes started walking in their direction. They had the appearance of monks, but she could tell, just by the way they moved. There definitely wasn't anything holy about them. There was a sinister power behind their movement.

They pushed everyone aside and were coming closer to the three.

Out of the corner of her mouth, Aria whispered ''Run,'' but Ming seemed frozen to the spot. Jolee grabbed him and ran with Aria to find something-anything.
