Adding 3 males............will it work?

We have a neighbor giving away her 3 male turkeys (2 heritage, 1 market) the same age as our two (one female heritage, 1 male market). The 3 newbies will only be around for a few weeks when we plan to send them to the processor, but we'll keep one heritage in exchange for our market male. Will they get along until then? we have a huge enclosure, almost an acre that they'll live in with our flock of chickens.

If you are only keeping them around for a week or two, you should keep them isolated from all your poultry. Quarantine is the proper method of dealing with any new poultry just to be sure that you are not bringing in any diseases or pests.

If you don't feel quarantine is necessary, no, they will not automatically get along with your turkeys. Trying to stick them all together is going to start pecking order fights.

Keep them separate. After all of the ones destined for processing are gone, you can allow your new tom and your hen to become acquainted.

Ok. Will do. I wasn't planning on quarantining bc these turkeys only live a couple hundred yards away so they'd already be exposed to whatever either flock has.

That isn't always true. A fellow at the end of the next road had a mite infestation in his flock. I don't. I would not bring any of his flock and mix with my own flock. He doesn't live that far away.
