adding a new friend...advice needed.

A friend of mine bought a chick for her daughter about the same time I got my flock of 8. I had advised her against getting 1 chick, but who ever listens to me. I told her at the time if she ever needed to I would take her chick too. Well now everyone is about 9 weeks old and the girl is worried her chicken is lonely (duh)

So they have asked me to take it. What is the best way to intro a new flock member? I am a city chicken girl and I don't have a ton of room to do separate coops or viewing time etc... please help oh wise chicken people

Look on this forum for "integrating flocks" or something similar. There are at least fifty or so replies with this same question, lots of good ideas!

take one of your chicks, the least dominate one and put with the new chick in the dark of night. Then a couple of days later, introduce the pair to the group in the middle of the night. Cross your fingers.
