Johnny update!!

He is exactly 20wks today! He has begun to mate the ladies, and is pretty nice from what I've seen.
He's sooo funny when he does his little dance! He stomps his feet and I think it's the funniest, cutest thing ever!
I still have yet to hear the boy put off a crow, but alas it'll come I assume...He tries, but its highly pathetic! ‍♀
He isn't aggressive that I've seen AT ALL!!! However, I don't mess with him AT ALL unless it's to remove him from the nesting boxes (where he still sleeps with the divas ) in the morning, and ill give him a good boy pat.
He doesn't peck me, or come after me in any sorta way.
He isnt grown up, but his teenage yrs arent too awful as of yet!
I wouldn't call him flock master yet, but he's working his way on up there.

Last and final Johnny update

Johnny started showing nuerological issues a couple wks ago. At first i didn't notice, but when I did I started checking his legs, his feet, his body..not finding much of anything, other than he was pretty thin. Idk if that's a bantam trait or not but his breast bone was pretty prominent.

I had him separated, and was treating him for a vitamin deficiency. (400 IU of Vit E and some egg yolk for selenium. Also vitaimns in his water) After having him in the home for a wk I put him back with the ladies....

They shoved him around bc he couldn't keep his balance (it wasn't on purpose they just moved too fast for him) he was having a hard time getting back on his feet and moving out of the way. Etc.


I made the chicken owner decision to dispatch Johnny. It was quick, clean, and hopefully painless (I used broomstick method) RIP Johnny!!

I can't even hatch any eggs from him bc he never could get the mount just right to get everything lined up on a regular basis.
