Adding another coop......

We started keeping chickens last April...and I am so addicted to this hobby! Love it! We have 6 young hens right now (not sure when they are considered a hen instead of a pullet? They are all laying), and I've ordered 6 more for this april. We have a large coop that I plan to separate into two until the two flocks can live together - same with out outdoor run (also very large). I will have to add another pop door to the coop in the meantime until everyone can intermingle.

Anyway...I now have it in my head that I need another coop....because I want more. I'd like a coop full of bantams. Lol

Did anyone else start out with one coop and move onto two??? I'm really wondering what my husband is going to think of this idea.....I think I might have some convincing to do!

I started with one and now have 5 buildings that encompass 9 housing and breeding units.
A pullet becomes a hen at one year of age. A cockerel becomes a rooster or cock at one year of age.

I started with 1 and have 4 at the moment and 3 to be built this summer in preparation for next year. I intend to start hatching my own. My coops seem to get bigger each time as well...
