We are doing a 100% organic FFA project with broilers. The only organic feeds I can find at 30% protein is game bird feed which is very expensive. Our FFA uses turkey starter 30% protein for first few weeks. Is there a way to add cracked corn to a 20% chick starter to get it up in protien? My bag of organic cracked corn says 8.9% protien. I'm not sure what ratio to add it to feed to up the protein content. Would it be 1lb chick feed to 1lb cracked corn to get 28.9% protien? I've never made my own so not sure the formula or way to do this best.

Crack corn is a hard way to raise protein, as its mostly carbs, you'll dilute the other nutrients in the feed and end up with unhealthy birds.
Could you do a mix of 3 parts chick feed to one part gamebird?

If I did that what would be the protein %?

You may reduce protein on the game starter by adding the corn but will reduce also the protein of chick starter by adding the corn..
30+8.9= 38.9 divided by 2=19.4

20+8.9=28.9 divided by 2 (if you do equal parts)= 14.4
