Just starting my first ever flock of 4 hatchlings! They are Golden Laced Wyandottes. Im starting them on crumbles and not sure if I should sprinkle grit in with it? The directions say that I only need to use it as the sole source of their diet? Help please..

I wouldn't worry about sprinkling it ON their food. In fact, if all they are eating is crumbles (i.e., not kitchen scrap supplements) then they probably don't even need grit at all. However if you'd rather be safe than sorry, you can offer them grit free choice in a separate container. They should only take some if they need it - they seem to know. If/when you start offering them other things to eat other than the chick crumbles, you would definitely also want to offer grit.

You should add a bit of grit, if only for the pleasure of occasionally handfeeding the little fluff butts some peas or the like.
