Adding new chicks to other chicks

I saw some new chicks at the feed store and I thought that having different kinds of breeds could be fun. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to buy, but still.........

I'm worried about one thing, though: What if I did buy some chicks and put it in the brooder with the other chicks, would they be accepted by the pecking order? Will the other chicks pick on the new members? Or easily accept them?

I added 2x 5 week old roos to my flock of 10x 5 week old chicks, and the mother hen and the chicks, as well as the other 6 chickens, accepted them immediately.

I was told I was lucky.

Hoefully you won't have any problems.
