Adding new ducks with my older one

I have 2 ducks and one of them went missing. I didn’t see any feathers or a body. I obviously need another one. If I get 2 ducklings and raise them what is the best way to add them with my existing one? Has anyone done it before? I can also get an adult duck. Would that be better than 2 ducklings?

If you can put up a separate pin and the new one in it but make sure the can see each other.

I can’t put them in separate pins. Can I let the new one see my old one through the pin?
