Hi, I just got some buff orps and I'm eager to add them in. The flock I have all have normal beaks but these four hens have short clipped beaks. I'm worried they won't get enough to eat due to this fact. Will they still be able to eat fine or will the others just leave them with left over crumbs?

What style of feeder are you currently using? What type of feed are you feeding (crumble, pellet, mash, fermented)? Clipped beaks can sometimes impede the ability to eat depending on those two answers. Do you free feed or feed a controlled amount at set times during the day?

I have a long feeder that has head sized holes, I fill it all the way up twice a day. I also if it's not going to rain just throw their food onto a specific part of their pen so they can scratch and peck it off the ground naturally. I feed them crumbles as well.
