Adding new pullet

i recently got three 5.5 week old pullets but one of them passed away sadly. I was thinking about getting another one to replace her. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions and thoughts about doing that? Thank you!

I believe those breeds tend to be friendly. Maybe consider adding one of each? Although chickens may get along with one another, they tend to gravitate towards birds of the same breed. If you do decide to expand your flock, make sure they are around the same size and age. Also, make sure you integrate the new birds properly. There are many articles on how to do this and I can give you some pointers as well. Good luck!

Look at local farms, I found older chicks in that age range at local farms easier than the supply stores. (I looked up ads on craigslist.)

At 5.5 weeks there's no real pecking order so as long as you add a chick(s) of similar age and size there shouldn't be much issue with integration.
