Adding new Tom to 3 hens. Any precautions?

I am considering purchasing a Tom to add with my bronze hens and just wondered is there anything I should do or be aware of. The hens are all spring/summer 2013 hatches and although from 2 different sources have been together for at least 6 months now.Will the hens accept the Tom into their midst? This is the first time I've ever done this with turkeys so advice will help the transition easier for my hens and me. My hens or assume are all hens. The tom I want to add is a Bourbon Red as not many choices around.

To make sure they get along alright, you might keep the tom in a cage inside the hen's pen, or on the other side of the wire. This will give the hens time to get use to him being around before you turn him in with them.
