    4-18-11 Day One:
After much searching I have found another Surama Bantum Hen (Rose). I introducded her to Lilly - my 1yr old Surama. It wasn't pretty. Lilly chased, pecked and chattered poor Rose. I created a divider in the hutch to keep them seperate but visible to each other when not free roaming the backyard.

    4-19-11 Day Two
Lilly ate Rose's egg!!!!!! I can't be 100% sure it was her but the shell was in the coop half that I housed Lilly in. I'll have to keep them totally seperate when laying. Let's hope this is a one time deal for dominance [IMG]

    7-15-2011. Day 87
Well things are different now. Lilly is still top dog but Daisy (aka Rose) is holding her own. She keeps her distance and let's LIlly eat first when they get treats. Daisy is a lousy egg layer but I'm working on that with oyster shell and lowering her stress. Thanks for all the welcome posts!!!

[IMG] from Alaska! Keep those hens apart for now but allow them to see each other. The dominace will work itself out, the egg eating may be another problem.[IMG]
