I'm thinking about getting 2 Pekin ducklings to add to my 4 Rouens. I've been wanting Pekins for a couple of years & today when I was in Tractor Supply I saw they just got their spring shipment of ducklings & chicks :ya& of course I noticed the Pekins immediately!!!! It took everything in me not to buy a couple but i'm really considering getting them, but will my Rouens be nice to them, will they be nice to my Rouens??? I know I can't introduce them until they ( Pekins ) get a little older ( their only a couple days old ). Also, 1 of my females is nesting, she has 6 eggs in the nest as of today, but I've been told that Rouens aren't a very broody breed but if she does have ducklings then I guess that's just more cute babies for me to love!!!! Any suggestions, Thanks

I think that would be a nice addition since your ducks you have now are Rouens they would all be about the same size. And then as your ducklings are getting of age to be outside for good on nice days take them out around the other ducks so they can all meet and get use to each other. With supervision of course. Once your ducklings get as large as your Rouens hopefully they will already be part of the flock. Be sure to post pics of them all when yo can.

Pekins make lovely pets and yes they can develop leg problems just make sure to add Nutritional yeast to their feed daily until they are around 10 weeks. I love that they always look like they have a smile on their faces.

NY dose is 1 Tab to each cup of feed you serve.
