Adding to a flock.

Hi,
I was thinking of getting a pure bred chicken.
I'm a bit undecisive about whether a Brahma hen or Cochin hen would be better.

I know Cochin is probably bigger but I have also read that they could have heart problems.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I personally just like Cochins better, but that is for you to decide. With hybrids, they are gentle (unless we are talking about cinnamon queens) so I would think just get the gentler of the two.

Ok, thanks for the advice! I read about heart problems with the Cochin breed. Has anyone who has Cochin chickens experienced their chickens getting any heart problems? Thanks again!
