I currently have 10 6 month old pullets, of which 6 or 7 are laying. I also have chicks arriving the first week of April. Once we go through the whole brooder process and the girls are feathered out, how long will I need to keep them seperated from the older flock since some will need layer crumble and the others will need grower crumble?

When your new chicks are large enough to defend themselves with the big girls, then integrate the new ones...maybe about 3-4 months of age for the new chicks. At that point I would get Flockraiser feed or just grower feed of any sort, offer free choice oyster shell for the layers. Then you can have everyone inthe coop together.
