My comfort is with 81 chickens, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 kitten, & 4 new peeps.

Mines with 24 chickens, 4 ducks, 3 dogs, 2 cats (was 3 until yesterday morning ), and two calves.

It is a small white dog, and my family member holds the dog and cuddles with it. The dog will allow my family member to hold, pet, cuddle with and turn over the dog.
I guess you could say that the dog comforts and helps to calm down my family member.

I understand! I started out with 9 about 5 years ago but one died at a week old so I don’t really count it. Anyway, I had 8 for years and then added 5 more pullets last year then I bought an incubator and hatched 9 last November (8 ended up boys ) then I added 9 more chicks this spring (one boy in that group) and then also hatched one of the original boy’s chicks this July from a broody hen. Oh and I also hatched quail in June too. So chicken math totally hit me all within like a year or year and a half added 2 budgies in March too LOL but I have practiced subtraction too since I also sadly lost some birds in between, had to put a couple down, and gave some of the boys away. I lost my rooster two weeks after his chicks hatched
