Adjoining coops?

Okay so just a little while ago I bought a nice coop. I love it, except I probably should have gotten one twice the size! I am also very dependent on my expensive auto-door. To solve my issue, I am considering joining an additional coop to the existing one. The chickens would have to pass through the first to get to the "addition". How crazy is this? Any suggestions on implementation? I attached my existing coop.

It can be done, iv'e done it lol! There is a hole cut in each coop and it is connected by a breezeway.

We have 3 coops all connected by tunnels! Lol my chickens live in a Paradise
