Adopted 2 mature ducks and would love to know the breed of the brown one

Cool, I didn't realize they got so dark.

Appleyard Hen...This is my Hen Petunia

I never realized they could get so dark in color. I always thought they were whiter. Very pretty!

It depends on the strain....She is called gold or Buff...Around here this is the common colour strain.......She is a nice girl..I have hatched lots of her Ducklings...

thank so much they are beautiful ducks I had never seen one before till I rescued this one. she did have a male with her when we found her but unfortunately it had been attacked by something and we couldn't save it but she has settled in well with my other girls.

My Petunia is a rescue too...Fox attack....She had a wonky neck with missing feathers but no punctures......She was terrified of my Dogs and of me.....Took her about 5 days to trust me..

I love my ducks too yes i think it was a fox that had her partner but he was too far gone when we found them. But she will have lots more friends soon because I have hatched 19 new babies from mixed shipped eggs so just waiting for them to grow. Your petunia is a really pretty duck.

Our hasn't got a name yet we can't all agree on what to call her we are waiting to see what her personality turns out like once she has got used to us. But will definitely keep petunia in mind because she is beautiful like the flowers.

Yeah...I have a Daisy, Lily , Petunia and a Samantha..Also Penelope.......They are great!
