If she's a he, I may have to try and find a different home as I don't think they're allowed, but we'll see.
I think the 5 toes is what's mostly pointing to silkies, although I know there are other breeds with 5. I see the cochin too, did a quick image search when it was suggested and it does look like a close match. This chicken is very small (maybe just young), and the tail feathers don't actually stick up like that, they were just propped up by the hardware cloth, it actually droops down.
Poor thing is still pretty shell shocked, and has a pretty bad limp. The dog was not gentle with him/her. We're really hoping that this little one will be OK.
