That's soo good to hear..
Like I said in the beginning I am NO expert with PBP's. I am just trying to offer thing I have done or work for our own PBP's. I have never heard of the dippity pig thing, so I guess we do learn something new everyday....
Once all this 'newness' wares off for Wilbur you are sooo gonna love having him around. You will find all kinds of creative things to do for your pig, or even to help him be active/excersise. Most of everything I have done has been through trial and error when it comes to keeping my PBP's entertained...
I would look into getting him a companion though. I know someone mentioned a cat. Ours have each other, but we also have chickens and guineas that love to hang out with the pigs (even our feeder hogs). It's neat to see them all eatting together and the birds go behind and pick up little treats the pigs have over looked...I even have a few birds that sleep with the pigs.
When the weather is warmer get him a swimming pool. We use the little tikes turtle sand boxes. As they are a little stronger than the plastic pools. Somedays I am filling that up more than anything else. They love to splash around in the pool. Our PBP's will make a mud wallow, but not like the feeder hogs. We have a few toads each year that seem to think the PBP's pen is HEAVEN on earth. And it is just a riot to watch the pigs discover the toads. Once the toads start hoping around the pigs are chasing them (to play)...They keep themselves entertained for hours on end with just that alone...I have yet to see a PBP eat a toad...
