ADOR1 Automatic Coop Door?

I got my adore 2 days ago and was able to put it in the coop today. I recess mounted it so it would look nicer. I got it installed okay, but when I put the cover back on, the front green button is not working. The little red button on the circuit board works fine when the cover is off. I found a clear "dot" taped on the cover and put it on the red button, but it still did not work. I am a little upset because I work on the installation for a while trying to get it to look nice and would hate to have to take it out. I absolutely love the door and believe it is very well made, I think it is the best one out there after doing a lot of research. Any one have any ideas on a fix? Would the remote switch that they offer help? Thanks.

Here's a question for all you ADOR1 owners... This morning I went out to the coop around 6:10 AM and the door was still closed, the girls were waiting impatiently for it to open. As I was just grabbing their water bucket to fill it up, the door opened (about 6:12 AM) and out they scrambled.

What I am wondering is, what time does your door normally open in the morning during this time of the year ? Has anyone been outside early enough to see what time it is opening ? I live in NS, Canada, which is very close to Northern Maine and this morning at 6:10 it was very overcast with fog and drizzle. I was thinking that on a morning when the sun is shining that the door is likely opening before 6:10 AM and that it opened a little later this morning due to the inclement weather. Sunrise here during this time of the year is around 6:00 AM.

Hi irischick ! So glad your door has arrived and that you now have it up and running ! Mine hasn't shown up yet but I do have th tracking # and it's well on its way

No worries ! The door arrived and was installed about 3 weeks ago !! Love the door and my girls seem to love the fact that they don't have to wait impatiently for me to get out to the coop each morning to let them out !

Mine opens a few moments (within 10 min) after sunrise, which is about 5:30ish here.

My chicks are usually stirring around in the coop right before the door opens as well. I think theyae ok with open time because otherwise it might be 7:00 am until I wake up.

Mine opens a few minutes after sunrise. Not sure what time that is right now since I'm on vacation and sleeping a little later. On rainy, overcast days, it usually opens a little later.
