yes, welsummers chicks have chipmunk stripes, if your rooster was pure for the Extended black e allele, which makes him all black as chick with cream underbellu(blue with cream underbelly is blue gene) if he was pure, then no chimpmunk striped chick should have been hatchedHi nicalandia I think he is an araucana because he is from dobles poultry search them on google felicity also judges they are good friends of ours in the chipmunk stripe from the welsummer?
he is going to be Red/Black, like his dad, can you put pics of him? would be nice to see if he was black tailed red or a kind of black breasted red or other black/red phenotypeSorry I made a mistake he is red ,black I don't know why I put black blue!? Haha
Thanks, that was really good, I forgot about those chicks beeing sexlinks(the black ones with headspots) and you are on point with the chicks looking alot like welsummersAgree your rooster is an Easter egger. In addition to what nicalandia said, your black chicks with white spots on their heads are sex link males. Black chicks with solid dark heads are sex link females--both these would be from the barred Rock hen.
Your Welsummer cross chicks are probably going to look a lot like Welsummers, coloring wise.
