I have 4 adult hens, and 13 baby chicks. They are separated by a wire wall. The chicks are in a 100 gallon stock tank right now. I have 1 Buff Orpington that seems disturbed by the chicks. She keeps clucking and raising her hackles and generally freaking out. I am wondering, is it because she hates them and doesn't like the noise the chicks are making, or does she thinks they are hers and wants them. Does anyone have any insight on what is going on? The chicks are 2 weeks old and the hens are 3.5 years old.
