Hello. I have problem with my bird. I will use forum's posting guideline to describe it as accurately as I can. Sorry for my bad english but I'm not native speaker.
- Type, age, weight of bird - Ring-necked pheasant, two years old, a bit less than two kilos
- Behaviour - He shakes his head "no". This shaking occurs irregularly, sometimes sessions are prolonged for couple of minutes and sometimes its just like 10 seconds. Sometimes this is accompanied by running in circles. When he is resting e.g. lying on the ground / preparing for sleep sitting on his favourite wood log in the evening - usually everything is ok and there is no sign of shaking. Other than that everything seems to be ok with him - He eat, he crows, he tramples his hens.
- How long - It started this spring, pretty much with the start of mating season and It lasts till now.
- Other birds - none of my birds are exhibiting such symptoms.
- Bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma - no.
- What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation - I just noticed it one spring morning
- What has the bird been eating and drinking - Wheat, grass and whatever small living creatures he can dig out of the lawn. Water for drinking.
- Poop - normal consistency, no blood
- What has been the treatment you have administered so far - I tried to suplement with vitamins and minerals complex but no effect
