On one bright and sunny day the puff balls where able to play out side in a spacious fenced in garden. It looked so new and different that they did not know what to do at first. They slowly began to explore the area. UNTIL........

Penguin got so excited with the fresh air she hopped up and down and started flying all around. soon all where doing a flight dance and having a great time in the sun. This made the featherless chickens laugh with delight and love the puff balls even more.

:)The babies look so cute in their enclosure.

At the risk of being a bummer, the chicken wire is something a predator can chew through to get at your babies. Unless you live somewhere without opossums, racoons, foxes, etc., you may want to reinforce the enclosure with hardware cloth or welded wire.

Thank you Lowry for the information. I'll put that to good use when I get my next batch of chicks. My girls are not babies anymore, they are soon to be a year old and they have a wonderful Rooster!

I am writing this in honor of 2 hens that were lost this winter (not by predators) and for my 7 yr old daughter (who loves to write stories) who wanted me to write a funny story about the chickens.
