Advice called childish

Trolls, Trolls everywhere
Over here and over there
you'll even find them in your underwear
they ain't worth much not even a gush
so all you have to do is give 'em the flush!

There. You have officially received a poem by The Old Chick. That means you are not insane. I, on the other hand, have been tested....

You are awesome seminolewind- don't let it get you down.

Seminolewind, don't let the ignorance of others upset you. This person obviously does not understand how we feel about our feathered friends. I feel sorry for his or her chickens. I was also thinking troll when I read your post and it may very well be. Either way, I love feeding my girls treats!

As someone who was just introduced to chickens four years ago, I have learned sooo much from posters such as you, Seminolewind, and SpeckledHen, and others who so graciously share your time, wisdom, and chicken humor to enlighten and help others who love these birds. I don't even have my own flock yet, but feel comfortable that if the neighbors ever up and move wiith their hens, I would have a decent start and friends on BYC to turn to, even though I don't know most anyone's real name. Please don't let the very few disingenuous (I'm being nice) posters upset your day. Old Chick, as always, has it right!

Childish? I don't think so. You are so helpful, and were talking about something that I would do with MY chickens. Heck, I think most others would. I suppose we are all childish. :)

I'm glad to have wonderful people on here to have helped me to answer my many questions that I have had over the years. Please do not allow one rude, ignorant person stop you from helping others, as you have done so beautifully thus far.

I wish you a wonderful evening, and a lovely day tomorrow. I honestly feel sorry for people that are so hateful. I cannot imagine what their life must be like, and suppose that they are mean because they are wanting others to feel as badly as they do. You seem to spread joy instead of pain, and you are working to reverse the anger and hate that people like that cause.

Thanks!

3 days later I post that I give mine cake or French toast (comfort food) when they are (healing).

Treats help the owner relax so they aren't as worried, allowing pet to relax too.
Treats can be a barometer of how the pet is feeling.

So- special foods can be a medical treatment.
