I have a female goose that has isolated herself from the other geese and her partner died last year. I am wondering whether it would be a good idea to buy a young gosling or two for her to be companions. My existing male gander attacked her when I tried putting them all together in her housing but the oher female he accepted. Any thoughts from anyone would be much appreciated.

The market didn't have any goslings, sadly my goose gave up eating and died this morning...buried her this afternoon and am feeling so bad that I didn't act sooner to get her something to live for, she just pined so much for the loss of her male partner. I will never have another like her, she was hatched here and was my constant companion when she was young, we spent many hours together yesterday out in the sunshine, when I put her in to her house yesterday evening I knew she wouldn't live much longer but am thankful for the years with her company.
