sometimes it takes 24 hrs or more before they are thirsty and hungry so don't give up on her.

They can go 3 days without eating and drinking that’s how hatcheries are able to ship.

Yes, had a near identical setup in a sock and completely restrained.

This duckling is extremely important to carry on a bloodline. However, if it cannot eat or drink on its own then their is no quality of life for it. I have a friend on standby to do what is necessary.

Showing feed and water it has no desire? Maybe it’s just not ready to eat yet. Just hatching yesterday it can go another 24 hrs with out eating. You can try wetting a tiny bit of feed and putting it on your finger see if that sparks interest.

You can try giving some Pedialyte or Gatorade one drop at a time with a syringe, that's what I do sometimes. Warm up the liquid to about 102 degrees, carefully open the bill and give one drop.
