Advice Needed, Eye Injury!

I'd still leave her alone.
It won't heal over night but I think if it is from a injury like a peck...it will heal on its own.

Thanks so much for your help! I wish I knew what happened to her. I did read in one post that someone heard they could injure eyes on metal feeders. They were then removed instantly! I’m am very thankful it hasn’t gotten worse! At first I was convinced it was going to turn out to be a horrible illness that wiped them all out. But I do pitty this poor little “girl” and wish I could make her all better.

If you have an avian vet or one with chicken experience, they might examine her eye for a foreign body if you can find one. Or just watch it. If you can put eye ointment (Terramycin, Neosporin) into the eye without struggling, it might make it feel better. I think we were thinking that it might be making it worse trying to pry the little eyelid open and looking around in there.

I had been putting the neosporin on the rim of lower lid (read it on another post) so some would get inside. I wish I could take her into the vet, but our only option with the birds is insanely overpriced. I guess they can charge what they want when they are the only option, but I am unable to do it for nearly two weeks. I think that will be too late.

Update: This little girl is doing much better!!! Honestly, I think bulging eye would’ve been a more accurate description. I stumbled across pics that looked more like her problem when I used that description.
She still has her eye, yay! I really thought she’d lose it (maybe she still could). The eye looks sunk in now. Her eyelid is stretched out from the many days of pressure. I don’t think she has much vision in that eye. It’s kind of clouded. But otherwise she’s a perfectly normal little chick.
I’ll post pics of both eyes. Let me know what you think.
