Advice needed!! First time duck owner!

How much more should I raise the lamp on the second week? Also I noticed when I put some of his food pebbles in the water he has an easier time eating, should I just mix his water and food together? He’s exactly a week old today. I also noticed when I put him back in the brooder after being out for 15 minutes he starts chirping for me and then stops when he hears my voice, is that normal?

You want decrease temp about 7 degrees per week until you reach ambient temperature. I would use a thermometer to check if you’re not sure. You can mix some water with food as long as you refresh it and make sure it doesn’t go bad, but I would also have a separate water feeder.
