Hello☺
I have raised my goose from 2 days old and shes a mummas girl, very protective of me and will let me come up to her and hug her!

She is a little over a year old now and has started to lay eggs!

I have not wormed her yet but i want to get that done ASAP.
What is the best type to give her?

ALSO, she has been swallowing pebbles from my garden, smooth ones and last night when i hugged her i could HEAR THEM being churned in her stomach!!!
Why is she eating them? Will they pass?
They are about the size of a 10c piece.

She has 10 acres of grass to graze on, 2 dams to swim in and of a night i give her a mix of lauckes game bird maintenence and finisher pellets which i lighlty soften with water.
She also gets carrotsand apples.

ONE MORE QUESTION, is apple cider vinegar good to add to their water now and then?
If so what is the ratio?

I'll ask @Ravynscroft to answer your question about worming... Not sure what all is available in Australia. As for the pebbles, they need grit (aka rocks) to help digest their food. ACV is quite controversial. 1oz/gal--but its best to know the Ph of your water. The idea is acidifying the water, helps improve digestion. But that only works if you're getting to the right Ph for the gut. Some of the best nutritionists I know swear by adding ACV to water when temp is over 80 degrees Fahrenheit. That said, when you get them in a room, the debate turns ugly and largely centers around gut Ph. Sorry, I'm not smart enough to decipher all the arguments--but rarely use it unless focused on a specific problem. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply!!
Im happy to hear her rock eating is normal

Awww!! :love

Yep, gravel is normal for them to ingest, grinds up their food... ACV occasionally shoupd be just fine... I don't recommend it all the time as it can strip out good gut bacteria along with bad, but once in a while shouldn't hurt... she looks lovely!
If you can, get her some oyster shell/calcium supplement on the side for if she needs it for those eggs... :)

Should be, but I always prefer to keep a pure source available free choice whenever possible... occasionally some need just some extra calcium and most are very good at self regulating...
