sounds to me like he needs female companionship and he has thing for you so he makes up reasons for needing you to come over.

you need to just lay down the law with him, tell him you are running a business, you have alot to take care of and you dont mind helping him now and then BUT you will get to him when you can, otherwise he should look into getting someone who can accommodate his schedule

Sounds like one of those old "gentlemen" that doesn't understand women today. He's living in the old times, and is trying to get away with it with you.

Dump him. You needn't waste your precious time with him. Don't make him feel needed.. fix a high price, and see if he calls you.

I have always loved working with the elderly......but some.....well. have been like yours....I had to let go..... good luck.........let us know how it works out....... Being old doesn't give a person the right to be rude and mean. Does your hubby know how he makes you feel? When you tell the old guy that you're no longer available to work for him if he keeps harassing you make sure your hubby knows. He sounds like a nasty old man to me....just because he's 72 doesn't mean he's harmless....when you said he used to flirt with that sent up red flags for me. I wouldn't want my daughter working for someone like him!! Be strong....you can do it!!

The guy I worked for had to hire women to got to the movies with him and etc. It was really sad because he had no real friends and he had to hire people to practically be his friend. But no matter what you offer him as an arrangement for work or payment he will get upset and treat you worse. For your self esteem get away from him. I didn't realize how the guy I worked for had affected my self esteem until I got away from him.

I started out doing computer graphics for him for a business he was starting, then he wanted me to come in extra to answer phones, then I was decorating his house for Christmas, taking care of his indoor pool, and etc he just kept on and on.

I had rather be dirt poor and have friends then to be rich and have to hire people to do things for me!!
