Hello!
I had 3 bantams and when one went broody I decided she could hatch some eggs.
Mother hen rejected one of her four chicks immediately so I took them inside into a brooder and purchased 2 day olds as companions.
The mother and 3 other babies have been living outdoors in a maternity coop with run.
At 4 weeks she has decided to wean them and just bailed to return to the others
In doing so she’s injured one (a male I think) and I’ve had to take him inside to spray him with cetrigen.
So now I have 3 babies in a brooder, 1 a little scabbed up in a box next to them, and the remaining 2 chicks are in the maternity coop outside with a heat lamp because they’re really not big enough to free range alone (mum is not protecting them at all anymore).
Should I just put all babies in the outdoor coop and run now to simplify the situation?
Will my little injured one be alright to go back once his wounds are closed over?
