advice on coop please

Looks like it would work but if they are really not going to be outside much it is a little elaborate. You could get away with just the run part with something like a tarp over one end for shelter. They won't need a house and a nestbox if they are not going to be outside at night.

As long as you have something that will contain them and an area that provides shade and where they can get out of bad weather that is all you need.

I'm sorry, I was unclear. I meant that they would be in the house attached to the coop at night. I'm not sure about the hardware cloth. I could probably get some and attach it myself if it's not

Those are VeRY cheaply made and WILL fall apart with very little use. The wood is thin, it is not able to stand up to weather long term. They are sold under a slew of names and can be found at TSC, PetCo and online.

I agree. I have something similar for my son's rabbits but it is kept under my barn roof and on a cement slab. The wood is very soft and light weight and if left out in actual weather they do not last very long at all.

You can actually build a coop fairly easily with some lumber and hardwire cloth. You'll get much more for your money that way.

Sadly, I agree.. i have seen similar here at TSC and wobbly, poorly built would be generous in description lol You could likely build something like it with quality materials and have it last vs the hassle of it being flimsy and of poorer quality.

I do understand, believe me.. we are still doing the final touches for the chickens coop.. heck the duck barn isn't 100% finished but one thing they are both built to withstand winter, predators and all the world can toss at it...
