So unfortunately I have decided that I’m goin to be selling all of my birds. It has come with lots of thought and a tough decision, but I’ve realized I just don’t have the means to do it the way I want to. With that being said, I need help on pricing my birds. Not trying to get rich but also not tryin to give them away, I want a price that’s fair to both buyer and seller. Here is what I have.

Cocks
5 y/o bronze WE possible split BS cock
(2) 4 y/o IB WE possible split cameo cocks

Hens
5 y/o bronze BS WE hen
4 y/o IB WE hen
2 y/o bronze WE hen
2 y/o IB BS hen
(2) 2 y/o cameo hens

Yearlings
Purple pied WE hen
Bronze pied WE hen
Bronze BS pied WE hen
Opal pied or WE hen
Opal something hen
Peach dark pied hen
Peach silver pied hen

Any advice would be great, I’m also in the NW Indiana area for reference.

When I sell Ross they are between $5-$10 or $20 depending on the breed. I'd start at $5 and for hens $15 each. Could also sell some in groups. One roo three hens $25, one roo five hens $35 or even two Roos and 8 hens $40 or $45 ect. You could also sell your flock together for $100.

These are peafowl. Chicks start at $30 each.

If you take your time you can sell most of them for a fair to both you and the buyer price. When a large breeder or someone who is willing to buy them to flip you will not get a price you will be happy with. I bought out a person a couple of years ago with about 25 nice colored birds, (non IB), for $100 per bird, (all breeders), and I was told I gave twice of what other big breeders had offered. It is going to be a question of how soon you need to be rid of them or if you can spend months advertising and dealing with potential buyers. Feel free to message me for more in-depth information.
