Advice on sewing machine purchase...

I'm thinking of getting a sewing machine. Some features I would like include an automatic needle threader and an embroidery option. Does anyone have any suggestion on machines?

A lot depends on your price range. I just bought a Bernina 440QE for $2900. It doesnt have an automatic threader but it does have the embroidery option that I didn't purchase. I have a friend that has a Brother and hers does automatic threading and embroidery. I have no idea what she paid for it.

I have a Brother SE-350, it has the automatic needle threader and will embroidery a small area. I recently purchased the PED basic so I could download embroidery designs from the internet but unfortunately I haven't tried it yet. At the time, I was unsure how much I would sew but so far I love it. I would love to have a better machine later.

There is another thread around here somewhere about machines. I've got the $99 special from Walmart 10+ years ago, lol But it's all I need for making clothes and quilts.
